Our sources and our method

ParcoursGolf is a directory of golf courses in France. It helps you find a golf course near you or near your holiday base, region by region.

• We list the golf courses with 9 holes or more in mainland France.
• We cite our sources for every piece of data.
• We date every update.

• It is not the French Golf Federation, nor a site linked to it or to any golf club.
• It is not a booking site: we sell neither green fees nor holidays.
• We do not publish reviews and we do not rate golf courses.
• We do not issue the carte verte: only a club's golf professional does.

The list combines two public databases, extracted on 2026-10-01.

• Data ES, the register of sports facilities of the French Ministry of Sports, under the Licence Ouverte 2.0. We keep every facility that declares at least one 9-hole or 18-hole course. It gives the town code, the type of course and the year it opened.
• OpenStreetMap, "leisure=golf_course" objects, under the ODbL licence. © OpenStreetMap contributors. It adds course names and positions.
• The geographic code of INSEE (code officiel géographique), the French statistics office, through geo.api.gouv.fr, links each golf course to its town, département and region.

Of the 686 golf courses shown, 574 appear in both databases, 26 in Data ES only and 86 in OpenStreetMap only. These last ones carry the label "to be confirmed".

We leave out stand-alone driving ranges, stand-alone beginner courses, swingolf, mini golf, footgolf and facilities declared out of service. We also leave out 12 facilities whose name does not clearly point to a golf course open to the public, until we check them.

To check the list, we compare it with the total announced by the French Golf Federation (716 clubs): our database finds 686.

Green fees, par, slope and visitor access are in no open database. We will collect them from each golf course's website. Each figure will carry the date we checked it and its source. We do not copy data from other directories.

Last data update: 2026-10-01. A golf course has closed, changed its name or is missing from the list? A correction form will open with the course pages.

The site contains no commercial link today. If we add any, each affiliate link will be labelled as such.
